Developing the Future of Lexus Training

For many years, Stefan Ramaekers has been actively involved in the Lexus Pan European Training Events (PETE), one of the brand's major annual European training initiatives.

The overall event runs for approximately six weeks, during which Lexus retailers from across Europe are invited in successive groups to take part in an intensive three-day programme. The objective is to introduce new models, communicate the future strategy of Lexus and prepare the retailer network for upcoming products, technologies and developments within the brand.

Bringing Strategy to Life

Launching a new vehicle is about much more than presenting technical specifications.

Each PETE programme is designed to help retailers understand not only the product itself, but also the vision, strategy and customer experience that define Lexus.

Through a combination of interactive workshops, presentations, hands-on demonstrations and test drives, participants gain the knowledge and confidence needed to translate these messages into their own markets and dealerships.

Developing Interactive Learning Experiences

As part of the international development team, Stefan contributes to the creation and development of the educational content used during these events.

Working closely with European project teams, he helps design interactive workshops that transform complex technical and strategic subjects into engaging learning experiences.

Rather than relying on traditional classroom-style training, these sessions are developed around participation, discussion, practical exercises and discovery.

Trainer, Facilitator & Speaker

In addition to developing the workshop content, Stefan also delivers many of these sessions himself.

As an experienced technical trainer, facilitator and speaker, he presents complex automotive technologies and strategic topics to international audiences with varying technical backgrounds.

His role combines technical expertise with learning and development, ensuring that the content is not only accurate, but also understandable, relevant and engaging.

Preparing Retailers for the Future

Many of the workshops focus on topics that are shaping the future of the automotive industry and the Lexus brand, including:

  • Electrification

  • Hybrid, plug-in hybrid and battery electric technologies

  • Future product and mobility strategy

  • Learning & Development

  • Customer experience

  • Emerging automotive technologies

The aim is always to translate complex developments into practical knowledge that retailers can take back to their local markets.

From Development to Live Delivery

Stefan's involvement spans the complete training process: from concept development and workshop design to facilitation and live delivery during the event itself.

Throughout the approximately six-week event period, successive groups of European Lexus retailers attend their own three-day programme, creating a large-scale international learning environment built around product, strategy and experience.

Inspiring Through Learning

The Lexus PETE programme demonstrates that effective training goes far beyond transferring information.

It is about creating experiences that make people understand, remember and engage with new ideas.

Through his expertise in technical training, workshop development and public speaking, Stefan contributes to learning experiences that help prepare Lexus retailers across Europe for the future of the brand.
